DETAILS

Project Overview

She Placed One Thousand Suns Over the Transparent Overlays of Space is part of a larger mythic narrative centered on Elyseria, a celestial figure envisioned by the artist through a series of monumental installations across global landscapes. Rendered in radiant ultramarine, Elyseria embodies a connection between light, astronomy, and collective human knowledge. Set within the desert of AlUla, the work reflects a deep engagement with ancient astronomical traditions. The installation maps a precise star field aligned to the sky above the site at the exact moment of its unveiling on January 31, 2020. Positioned on a hidden boulder within a secluded valley, the sculpture mirrors the cosmos, inviting viewers to move through a living constellation shaped by both science and story. Hiwire contributed to the realization of this installation, supporting the translation of a complex celestial vision into a physical form embedded within the landscape.
