Client Sandbox

DETAILS

Project Overview

Client Sandbox is an experimental installation exploring spatial dynamics, materiality, and modular design. The project transforms traditional wall and surface structures into interactive, layered compositions that invite both visual and tactile engagement. By combining geometric forms with suspended elements, the installation challenges perceptions of depth, scale, and structural relationships within a defined space.

This project highlights the intersection of art, design, and architectural experimentation, demonstrating how contemporary materials and fabrication methods can redefine conventional spatial experiences.

CONCEPT & Process

Story Behind the Artwork

The design of Client Sandbox emphasizes exploration, experimentation, and creative problem-solving. The project draws inspiration from modular architecture and sculptural forms, reimagining surfaces as layered and responsive elements rather than static backdrops.

The fabrication process included designing geometric cutouts, testing material behavior under suspension, and precisely sequencing the assembly to create a visually balanced composition. The hanging structures introduce tension and movement, offering a dynamic interaction with light, shadow, and viewer perspective.

Through this process, the project investigates how spatial installations can combine artistic expression with structural innovation, encouraging viewers to experience the environment in an unexpected way.

Process

Visual & Structural Development

The installation features suspended perforated elements integrated with layered wall panels. Each component was carefully designed for modularity, precision, and visual impact. This development phase included 3D modeling, prototyping, and iterative testing to ensure both structural stability and aesthetic harmony.

The resulting work transforms a standard studio or gallery space into an immersive environment, emphasizing experimentation, materiality, and the relationship between built forms and human perception.
